The boyband, which features Wolverhampton's Liam Payne, will be at the Queen Vic as they present a 35-minute segment of the show next Friday.

The group will also perform their new single Story of My Life as they visit the EastEnders set.

Liam, Harry, Niall, Zayn and Louis recently starred in a film about their lives This Is Us.

The band said: "We all grew up watching Children In Need as kids so to be in a position where we can collaborate with the charity and help raise funds for this amazing cause is truly special for us."

The line-up for the charity extravaganza has already been announced.

Wet Wet Wet, which features Marti Pellow, will perform their record-breaking hit Love Is All Around on television for the first time in 10 years.

They have previously avoided performing it because they said it was 'driving them to distraction'.

The song spent 15 weeks at number one. But they have agreed to perform it once more to help raise money for Children in Need.

Stars from Doctor Who and the cast of EastEnders are all set to be involved in this year's campaign, which will be presented by Terry Wogan.

He will be joined by co-presenters Tess Daly, Fearne Cotton, Zoe Ball and Radio One host Nick Grimshaw.

Actors from Call The Midwife will also perform, along with comedian Harry Hill while Torvill and Dean will compete against each other in a Strictly Come Dancing contest.
