What's on this bank holiday weekend in the West Midlands
It's the last Bank Holiday weekend until Christmas, so you better make the most of that extra day off. Luckily there are loads of things to do across the region, rain or shine.
Let's Fly – RAF Cosford
This Saturday and Sunday visitors are invited to board Cosford Airline either as a passenger or part of the crew! During the flight visitors can participate in role and airport related activities such as security, passport control and cabin crew. 1940's Craft Activities – Bantock House
Kids and grandparents alike will love it this weekend at Bantock House. Throughout the weekend visitors will get to try out a range of 1940's craft acitivies such as rag dolls and peg dolls and make a little something to take home with them. www.wolverhamptonart.org.uk
Walsall Pride
Returning for its second year is the towns celebration of it its LGBT community. Starting at 12 noon in Gallery Square the event aims to dispel any myths and break down barriers. Everyone is welcome to the community event. This year X-Factor star Lloyd Daniels will be performing. There will also be a wide range of cabaret acts and lots of other music performances. Family Fun Day – Stafford
This Saturday prepare to see Stafford Market Square as you have never seen it before. For one day only there will be performances, face painting, bouncy castle and a merry go round. At 1pm there will be a duck race from the town park bridge. Entry is free
Discovery Day – Staffordshire Regimental Museum
This bank holiday try a day out with a difference. Enjoy a guided tour of the museum detailing what life was like for British service men during the two world wars. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland – Blists Hill
Blists Hill in Ironbridge are inviting visitors to come dressed as Alice or another favourite character from Lewis Carrol's classic tale. Visitors will be able to take part in the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, join the Queen of Hearts for a game of croquet and follow a trail of clues around the town to find the Cheshire Cat. There will also be scenes performed from the book around the town during the day. Make sure you put on your best costume as there will be a best dressed competition. Normal admission charges apply. Robin Hood Weekend – Hawkstone Park
This bank holiday Hawkstone Park is playing host to Robin Hood and his band of merry men. There will be sword fighting demonstrations, archery displays and talks on the famous longbow. Family Fun Day – St Thomas' Church

Summer Family Fun Day – Walsall Leather Museum
There's plenty of bank holiday fun this weekend at Walsall Leather Museum. There will be puppet shows, a caricaturist and a chance to make your own leather mementos to take home with you. The event will be held on the Monday and there will also be chances to make your own matchstick creatures, get some temporary tattoos and get your face painted.
