900 attend Frozen sing along at reindeer lodge
It's the most successful animation film in history - and characters from Disney's Frozen came to life at the Staffordshire home of the largest working Reindeer herd in England.
Almost 900 parents and youngsters visited Blithbury Reindeer Lodge, near Rugeley, at the weekend to sing along to songs from the film, meet the characters and explore the herd.
Visitors were able to meet and greet actresses dressed as Elsa and Ana and a reindeer playing the part of Sven was brought up on stage to take part in the sing-a-long.
Reindeer were also used for sleigh rides and youngsters had their faces painted and made edible marshmallow snowmen.
Blithbury Reindeer Lodge's marketing and events director Kerry Endsor, whose eight-year-old daughter Alex also enjoyed the event, said: "We had some local performing arts students dressed as the characters and one of the reindeers was Sven.
"He helped in the sing-a-long Reindeers Are Better Than People.
"We had six to eight reindeer doing the sleigh rides. We got an amazing reaction. The children were in awe of the characters."
She said it was the first time that Blithbury Reindeer Lodge had held an event on such a big scale outside of Christmas.
Mrs Endsor added: "It has proven to be a real success and the event sold out.
"We've had nearly 900 people here over the weekend. We are going to put on another Frozen weekend at the end of this month or the start of next month.
"We are also looking ton do more events throughout the year."
Blithbury Reindeer Lodge is a 30-acre working farm based in the small hamlet of Blithbury, just a few miles outside of Rugeley.
Up until 2007, the Lodge was a dairy farm complete with cow-sheds, milking parlours and run down farm buildings.
It is now home to a herd of around 150 reindeer.
