Last year it was Brandon Carter who was centre stage at the rally which saw the riders travel from Halesowen to Bridgnorth and he fulfilled his dream of taking a ride on a Harley Davidson months after he had been diagnosed with terminal skin cancer.

Brandon, who was from Colley Gate, Halesowen, lost that battle in May last year.

But the riders who were there to see Brandon's wish come true 12 months ago came back to do it all over again in his memory and to raise cash for charity. They met at Streetbike in Dudley Road, Halesowen, on Sunday to embark on the 20-mile trip.

Brandon's uncle David Brenton said: "It was an absolutely fantastic day. So many people came and I know his mum Carole wanted to thank everybody for remembering her son. It's all about remembering him and we have made sure we've done that.

"The weather was good and everything was fine, the sun even came out for a little bit." Brandon's family have made it their mission to raise awareness of the condition in the hope that others don't suffer the same fate as the popular 27-year-old.

They have moved a step closer to their £10,000 fundraising target, with almost £1,000 from the rally taking their total to £6,800.David said: "We are trying to raise as much as we can to try and find a cure for skin cancer and cancer full stop. It probably won't happen in my time but at least we can say we have done our bit."
