Phillip Box is preparing to run the London Marathon next month.

He makes the challenge even more difficult by wearing an all-encompassing blue morph suit.

The 28-year-old highways ground worker from Birch Avenue, Chasetown, in Staffordshire, admitted: "It slows me down a bit because I reckon it halves your breathing capability and stops you being able to see when it gets wet – but it's fun.

"It takes the pressure away from the running and means you can do it for a laugh."

Phillip, who is single, will compete in the London Marathon in April. It will be the second time he has taken part, although last year he wore conventional running gear.

He has also competed in the Snowdonian Marathon as well as a 40-mile ultra marathon.

He added that he can't wait to compete at the London event once again: "I was bitten by the running bug after the London Marathon last year.

"The atmosphere was sensational and the feeling of pride when you completed the course was immense."
