Lighting company completes course work
A Stafford lighting control company has helped improve lighting at the iconic Cheltenham Racecourse.
CP Northern completed work in time for the annual Cheltenham national hunt festival last week
The re-development of Cheltenham Racecourse saw 14 different projects being undertaken within 19 months.
CP Northern, based at Staffordshire Technology Park, was employed to provide a digital addressable lighting interface control system to all front-of-house areas and external lighting for the new Princess Royal Stand.
The system provides a combination of presence detection, absence detection, regulating photocells and scene recall.
The company also installed bespoke iPad interfaces into the royal box, the private boxes and the bar areas for customised scene control, complete with colour change functionality.
For the Stafford based business it is just the latest in a string of impressive sporting contracts.The company have been involved in providing lighting systems at the stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the Copperbox Arena and Derby Velodrome amongst others.
