Tech company settles in at new Stafford head office

The move has seen it become the second largest tech company in the county with 17 more staff recruited since the relocation.

TopCashback made the decision to relocate from Uttoxeter to the county town because it could not find any office spaces in the town that was big enough to accommodate the company's growing number of employees.

The new premises at Temeraire House, Nelson Court, are around 33,000 square feet and are able to house 94 members of staff.

Relocation

The relocation across Staffordshire has coincided with the celebration of TopCashback's tenth year in business.

It has gone from strength to strength since it was originally founded by Oliver Ragg and Mike Tomkins in the summer of 2005.

From working in the first office above a kebab shop in Uttoxeter, the company has grown and now has employees working in four premises across two continents.

Oliver Ragg, co-founder of TopCashback, said: "Our first office was located above a takeaway in Carter Street in Uttoxeter and there were just two of us. Since then we've gone from strength to strength to grow the business into one that is now able to offer our services internationally.

"To do that, we had to build our staff base and we've gone from two to 94 in the last 10 years and are continuing to build upon that."

Mr Ragg continued: "As we became a bigger company, we wanted to move to an office that offers our staff not only a convenient location, but also a fresh environment for work and break-out areas.

"We also wanted somewhere that we could grow into and build the TopCashback team and we've found that in the new head office in Stafford."

TopCashback has been recruiting from around the Stafford area and other locations in the Midlands including Derby, Stoke and Uttoxeter since starting the business and credits the great talent of the area to the successes of the company.

"We'll continue to recruit from Stafford and local areas and see our move as beneficial not only for employment, but also for local businesses as we move more people into the town," added Mr Ragg.

TopCashback has previously been recognised for its growth, being named the 98th fastest growing private company in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, in December 2013.

Membership

The company also has 4.4 million members and has more than doubled the amount that it has registered in the last two years alone.

It is free to join and members can select from more than 4,300 online stores and businesses to obtain things like electronic goods, sports equipment, books, music and insurance and .

It estimates that its members saved more than £25 million collectively in the last 12 months.

The company, which also has more than 105,000 fans on Facebook, operates a customer care team and is a member of the Institute of Customer Service.
