When Austen Morgan heard the Staffordshire Hoard had been found on his doorstep he decided to create a beer to mark the discovery.
Little did he know that just a few months later his brew The Hoard would be selected as the official beer to raise money for the Staffordshire Hoard fund.
Austen runs the Backyard Brewhouse, which is on Lichfield Road in Brownhills, and the one-man brewery will now be helping to raise the £3.3 million needed to keep the Anglo-Saxon gold in Staffordshire.
