Villa in new sponsor talks

Villa could be set to land a lucrative new sponsorship deal if they get to Wembley in the Carling Cup.

A report says the club, who play Blackburn in the semi final of the Carling Cup, are in talks with three multi-national companies.

Children's charity Acorns currently sponsor the shirts and a Villa spokesman said: "Any new commercial partnership would still work very closely with Acorns as well, and that would be a cast-iron part of an agreement."
