Train services on a Midland rail line are set to be cut in December due to a shortfall in funding believed to be around £750,000.
Off-peak services on the Chase Line from Walsall to Rugeley on Monday to Saturday will be halved from two trains per hour to just one at the start of the new timetable, which is being introduced on December 13.
The Birmingham to Walsall evening service will also be reduced from two trains per hour to one from Monday to Saturday.
London Midland, which operates services on the line, says the cuts are being made because transport authority Centro has failed to provide the necessary funding.
Centro was unavailable for comment.
