Letter: Regarding Coseley Baths, in the past month Dudley Council, led by Tories, has closed Coseley Youth Club, which is also used as a resource centre, as well as Wallbrook House, a residential care home.

The council is planning to relocate Coseley Archives outside of Coseley. They are our heritage and should stay where they belong, but, like the baths, the council does not want the expense or responsibility of maintaining these properties.

When all the above buildings are sold, is the council proposing to invest profits back into Coseley?

It beggars belief that the council we voted in to serve our best interests has the power to close all of these properties. If Coseley Baths had been maintained we would not been fighting its closure. To take it down is an act of vandalism, against all advice. I am sure their actions will have long-term consequences, and this will be reflected in the May elections.

There is one thing Dudley Council cannot have, and that is the heart of Coseley, as we are a close community and stand together.

Mrs Pauline Portman, Broad Street, Coseley.
