Edwards hungry for home win
Wolves are "craving" a victory in front of their own fans and should be "breaking their necks" to score after four home games without a win – that's the verdict of midfielder Dave Edwards.
Last night's 0-0 draw against Ipswich meant Mick McCarthy's Championship leaders have taken just three points from the last 12 available at Molineux.
"It would be nice to get a win at Molineux – that's what we're craving," said Edwards. "It's hard to score goals here at the moment the way teams are setting up against us.
"Ipswich were very negative, but we had chances – Sylvan Ebanks-Blake had a great shot that hit the bar and Michael Kightly had a good effort, and there was lots of corners and free-kicks.
"The delivery from Dave Jones, 'Kights' and Kyel Reid was on the money last night and we've really got to break our necks to get on the end of things.
"But three clean sheets on the bounce is something to build on as a positive and hopefully we can get a win on Saturday."
Edwards also stressed the need for a more patient approach in their build-up play to prevent panic creeping in as Wolves chase goals at the end of games.
"We just need to keep being patient because there was a spell in the second half where we got into their half and we kept on top of them," he said. "We kept the ball and that's when we got our chances.
"Towards the end, a mentality seems to automatically set in that there's not much time left and we need to get it into their box and I'm not sure why.
"Perhaps we do need to be a bit more patient."
