Wolves will continue to attack
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has vowed his side will continue with their policy of all-out attack at Molineux to rescue their automatic promotion bid.
The Molineux chief has been pondering a more cautious approach to away games during the squad's sunshine break at La Manga, from where they return today.
But he will remain true to his attacking principles at Molineux and field two out-and-out wingers against Cardiff on Sunday, when his side kick off a spell of four home games in six.
He said: "People would expect us to take the game to Cardiff on Sunday. We won't be sitting back and inviting Cardiff to attack us. There's not a chance we're going to do that, when we've played like we have and scored the goals we have.
"There's only four league games this season where we've failed to score and we're the top scorers in the country, so I'm not going to change that."
New £2.3m signing Christophe Berra has challenged his team-mates to make Molineux a "fortress" and reckons they can produce a third seven-match winning streak.
He said: "Cardiff have been flying, but they're coming to our place and we've got to show pride and make Molineux a fortress.
"The boys have done superbly well this season. We haven't picked up as many points as we would have liked over the last nine games, but I still think we can go on one of those runs when we won seven on the bounce."
But Berra admits Wolves are at the point where they need a scrappy win to re-ignite their campaign.
He said: "At this stage, it's all about points and it might just take a bit of luck to change things for us.
"I don't care if it's a rubbish, disastrous game from the fans' point of view, as long as we get the three points, that's all that matters."
