Albion hardman Paul Robinson today urged more of his team mates to 'get angry' as he delivered the defiant message: "We can still survive".
Robinson admitted venting his spleen in the dressing room in the wake of Saturday's hammering at Sunderland.
And the long-serving left-back called for more of the same from his team mates.
"It is good for a player to express himself and have his say," said Robinson. "I am always angry after a loss because I hate losing. I think my team-mates should feel the same way. As a defender I was angry at the goals we conceded.
"I was right to vent my frustration and other players have a right to vent theirs. If they have something to say they should say it. It's better to let it out than hold it in and make things worse. It's nice that the lads can do that and get their feelings out.
"The other players have to take it and look forward to the next game."
And Robinson insisted spirits remain high at the Baggies' training ground despite a run of 10 matches without a win.
"When I get in the place is bubbly and the good sign for me is that the changing room is bubbly," he said.
"The lads are always having a laugh and a joke. The time to start worrying is when people aren't talking to each other, are unhappy and things are out of control.
"But it's not like that and that goes to show the way this group of players are.
"They want to keep improving because they don't believe they should be in this position. I believe they are good enough and they believe in themselves.
"They believe they can get out of this position and that's a good place to be.
"We've got to keep going and keep believing. Whatever people write or say will be negative about what we're doing.
"But as players we have to stay positive and keep believing that we can do it.
"I have done it before and so have some of the other players at the club. And we have come from worse positions than this.
"On Saturday the defending was the most disappointing thing and the defenders, including myself, have to take the blame. It should hurt defenders to concede silly goals.
"After the game we were all disappointed because we let them have two silly goals in the space of a minute having controlled the game until then. But we also have to put some of our chances in the net to take the pressure off the defenders and maybe then we can relax a bit more.
"We have to put Saturday's result to the back of our minds now and focus on Sunday."
* Albion bowed out of the FA Youth Cup as three quick goals from Burnley sealed a 3-1 victory for the home side at Turf Moor.
Michael King, Wes Fletcher and Dominic Knowles scored in five minutes at the start of the second half before Lateef Elford-Alliyu pulled a goal back for the Baggies.
