Baths still in need of cash

LETTER:
Just how much more money is Dudley Council going to pump into Dudley Leisure Centre in Wellington Road, the latest amount being £320,000.
Isn't it about time some of these vast amounts of money was shared around the borough more equally?
Coseley Baths needs money spending on it, but do they get it? No, they do not. They seem to be penalised where money is concerned; money can't even be allocated to dismantle and dispose of the water chute/ flume which is a terrible eye-sore in the baths itself and hasn't been used for years.
In January a customer forum meeting was held at Coseley Baths, and a quote of £20,000 was stated to do the necessary work regarding the water chute/flume. Is that amount of money forthcoming? I can't say that it is, so the council can't even give £20,000 - a fraction compared to the £320,000 for Dudley Leisure Centre.
In 2004, Dudley Leisure Centre received £500,000 for building work and lost revenue because it was closed for approximately seven months instead of one.
Then in 2007, it was announced that £1.2 million would be ploughed into leisure centres in the Dudley borough but Coseley Baths was denied any share of it.
So come on, Dudley Council, let other parts of the borough including Coseley Baths have their fair share of money.
Mrs P A Jordan, Peartree Lane, Coseley.
