Man on drowning charge

Marvin Walker, aged 21, appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today after being arrested on Wednesday.

Walker, of Bilston, showed no emotion as he was told that he was accused of unlawfully killing 16-year-old Shane, who was allegedly beaten and forced into the Lunt Pool in Bilston on September 29.

Walker, said to be of no fixed abode, was dressed in a dark jacket and white T-shirt.

There was no application for bail and Walker was remanded in custody to appear before the city's crown court with two other accused in January.

Tobias Davies, aged 20, of Frost Street, Ettingshall, and Christopher Lewis, 22, from east Wolverhampton, have already appeared in court accused of manslaughter. They were remanded in custody to appear at the crown court on January 2.
